Last week, the Har-Ber Pant and Animal Camp included a tour of the University of Arkansas. Students toured the hatchery, learned about candling eggs and how to grade the exterior of the egg. Students also made their own chicken tenders and learned the different parts of a chicken. The camp participants all made a planter with different house plants to take home! It was a great week!
Students that participated in the Har-Ber Plant and Animal Camp enjoyed another exciting day. Participants enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of Westwood Gardens, a guest speaker from the Arkansas Forestry Commission, and a tour at the AGFC Education Center. The camp participants all also made a houseplant and vegetable garden to take home! It was a fun day for all!
This week, Har-Ber High School is hosting a Plant and Animal Camp for Springdale middle school students. Participants toured Boger Exotic Animal Farm, made homemade dog treats to take home, and learned how to properly wash a dog. The students had a wonderful time!
