Congratulations to the Har-Ber High School Fall Recipients of the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy! The Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy is a certification that recognizes students who demonstrate proficiency in English and another language. The Seal was officially endorsed by the Arkansas Department of Education in June 2018, making Arkansas the 35th state to have an official Seal. Students across the country use the Seal as evidence for professional resumes, portfolios, and interviews, and for securing scholarships and higher pay. Students now also have the opportunity to apply for a Global Seal of Biliteracy! Details for the Global Seal can be found here. Since the Seal’s initiation in 2017, 1,668 World Language students have been awarded in Arkansas. With the 44 students recognized in December, Springdale Public Schools continues to lead the state with a total of 656! Spring testing and applications for the Arkansas Seal will begin in February - don't miss the opportunity! #2bilit2quit #aflta #thechoice #ARSB #ARbiliteracy @arbiliteracy @globalbilitseal @AvantAssessment

The Har-Ber Horse Team competed in their first competition of the year via Zoom and YouTube. Southern Illinois University hosted a virtual contest that began with students taking a virtual tour of the university, and finishing with a virtual contest.
These students were able to socially distance while also competing on their computer. Sandra Alvarado (on the right) is a second year member, and is a leader for the horse team. Jenna Duhaime (on the left) is a first year member of the horse team. We are proud these students!
