The Wildcat Swim & Dive Team opened up their competition season last night against Springdale High School and Siloam Springs High School. Both boys and girls team finished second behind SHS. Individually Har-Ber made a splash by winning multiple events. Emily Reaves and Anna Claire Marvin finished 1st and 2nd in the 200 free. Emily also finished 1st in the 100 fly just seconds away from qualifying for state. Speaking of state, David Wallace qualified for state in the 100 fly and nearly making the state cut in the 50 free. He did win both of those races. Saylor Wilson qualified for state in both of her events, the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 breast while winning both races. Sarah Pope won the 500 free by dropping 29 seconds from her previous time. Abigail Livingston won the 100 back while nearly qualifying for state in that event. Newcomer for Har-Ber, Max Tisher qualified for state in the 200 Individual Medley. He won that event along with finishing 1st in the 100 breast. The Wildcats have started the season off on the right foot by qualifying for state this early on in the season. They look to continue to ride that wave this Saturday at the Fayetteville Invite, 10:30am at the Jones Center.
